SUMMARY:Dreamland Conversations: Casey Neistat with Rob Cocuzzo
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Dreamland for an exciting installment of our Conversations series which will feature legendary YouTube creator and filmmaker Casey Neistat. This is our second sit-down with Casey (first appearing on the main stage in 2023). A long-time Nantucket summer resident\, Casey has been an inspiration to generations of young filmmakers for his adventurous\, DIY approach. Also known for his HBO series The Neistat Brothers with nearly 13 million followers on YouTube\, Casey will appear on the Dreamland stage in conversation with author and journalist Rob Cocuzzo. This is a one-night-only event!\n\nCasey Neistat is a New York based filmmaker\, YouTuber\, and entrepreneur widely credited with shaping the modern daily vlog. He first gained attention making short films with his brother Van\, including the HBO series The Neistat Brothers\, before breaking through on YouTube in the mid-2010s with a daily vlog that fused cinematic b-roll\, drone shots\, and a restless first-person narrative built around running\, skateboarding\, and life in Manhattan.\n\nIn 2015 he co-founded the social video app Beme\, which was acquired by CNN in 2016. He later launched 368\, a creative studio and shared space originally conceived for fellow creators. His signature style handheld energy\, tightly cut montage\, and a tinkerer's love of cameras and gadgets became a reference point for a generation of vloggers\, and he's produced branded short films for the likes of Nike\, Samsung\, and Mercedes-Benz that play more like mini-documentaries than typical ad integrations.\n\nToday Neistat has more than 12 million YouTube subscribers and another 3.6 million-plus followers across Instagram and TikTok. He's stepped away from daily uploads in favor of longer-form\, more produced films recent work has spanned marathon training content\, travel storytelling\, and collaborations with brands like Meta and ModRetro. He remains based in New York City\, where he continues to mix selective YouTube releases with off-platform production and studio work.\n\nRobert Cocuzzo is the founder of Legacy Literature\, a boutique publishing house specializing in biographical novels. Rob is the author of Tracking the Wild Coomba\, The Road to San Donato\, and more than two dozen other biographies. For more than a decade\, Rob served as the editor of N Magazine. He currently serves on the board at the Dreamland. GENERAL PUBLIC: $48 ($45 + $3 Service Fee) DREAMLAND MEMBERS: $45 (No Service Fee)
