Farm Talk - Astrophotography with Charity Grace Mofsen
Bartlett’s Farm will host a special talk by acclaimed Nantucket-based astrophotographer Charity Grace Mofsen on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 12:00–1:00 p.m., offering the community an opportunity to explore the beauty of the night sky through art, science, and storytelling.
Mofsen is known for capturing striking images of celestial events and deep-sky objects, blending technical precision with an artist’s eye. Her work highlights the wonder of the cosmos while emphasizing the importance of dark skies and mindful observation—particularly from a unique coastal environment like Nantucket.
During the talk, Mofsen will share insights into her creative process, the tools and techniques behind astrophotography, and the inspiration she draws from the island’s landscape. Attendees can expect a visually rich presentation featuring her photographs alongside practical and philosophical reflections on seeing the universe in new ways.
“This talk is about slowing down, looking up, and reconnecting with the vastness around us,” said Mofsen. “Nantucket offers a powerful setting for experiencing the night sky, and I’m excited to share that perspective with the community.”
The event is open to the public and will take place at Bartlett’s Farm, a longtime Nantucket gathering place known for hosting educational and cultural events year-round.
