Join Nourish Nantucket for its community presentation series entitled “Thought for Food.” Each program will provide an update on Nourish Nantucket's work to alleviate food insecurity with its network of partners and a short presentation from a guest speaker in the food sector.
In May, we are honored to invite Sam Landercasper of BEAM Partners. Sam will present the results of a food insecurity study that he completed as part of a grant from Remain Nantucket.
Sam Landercasper is the Founder and Principal of BEAM Partners, a consulting practice that supports nonprofits and public agencies in building stronger, more equitable systems of food security and financial stability. Drawing on over ten years of experience in human services leadership, Sam helps organizations translate their vision into action through strategic planning, systems development, and collaborative project management. He works nationally with nonprofits, philanthropies, and local government partners to develop strategies that enhance measurable outcomes for individuals and communities.

About Sam:
Rooted in his upbringing on an organic beef farm in Minnesota and influenced by a veterinarian mother and physician father, Sam has always been drawn to community health and local food systems. Prior to founding BEAM Partners, he served as Deputy Director of Pitkin County Human Services in Aspen, Colorado. Sam earned his M.P.A. from Johns Hopkins University and is a Fellow of the Aspen Institute’s Food Leaders Fellowship. He is bilingual in Spanish and is an award-winning photographer. He is in the process of relocating back to the family farm in Minnesota after 20 years in Colorado, where he will continue his work with BEAM Partners, as well as establish a nonprofit regenerative farming farmer incubator program to help reduce the decline in the number of small farms in the Midwest.
