DESCRIPTION:Explore the Nantucket farmers market with Chef Jason as we meet the people behind the produce during a VIP tour. Students will learn a variety of skills to best utilize what the market has to offer. Each week will feature a different market-based lunch and cooking technique that may include: pickling\, preserving\, juicing\, roasting\, grilling and more. \n\nIn this class each student will gather a bounty of products from the market to create a lunch while using senses to see\, feel\, smell and taste the process along the way. Each participant will create their own farm-fresh lunch that will typically include a salad and some sort of light protein based entree. Menus will vary based on seasonal availability of ingredients.\n \n\nExample dishes include:\n\nGrilled carrot salad with brown butter carrot vinaigrette\n\nPickled and poached root vegetables\n\nPan seared local fish with onion soubise and chive spaetzle\n\n*Wine and beer will be available for purchase on site for guests age 21 and over.\n\n\n\n**PURCHASE TICKETS**
