DESCRIPTION:The Jazz Mass of St. Paul's   Nantucket in 2026\n\nSaturday\, August 15   6:00 p.m. and Sunday\, August 16   9:30 a.m.\n\n \n\nThe Jazz Mass of St. Paul's   Nantucket made its world premiere in 2022 and performed again in 2023. Now\, after a two-year hiatus\, this festive and exuberant Mass will be reprised in 2026 on Saturday\, August 15 and Sunday\, August 16. The commissioned piece\, made possible through the generous underwriting of the Nancy Tompkins Broll Music Fund\, promises to be a festive worshipful experience for St. Paul's parishioners and the Nantucket community at large   from dixie land and New Orleans funk\, to lilting jazz waltzes and jazz arrangements of classic hymns.\n\n \n\nComposed by Washington\, D.C. area pianist Tony Nalker\, at the invitation of Father Max\, the Mass uses the Holy Eucharist: Rite Two text from the Book of Common Prayer\, set to music for two vocal soloists\, piano\, string bass\, tenor sax\, and choir.
