DESCRIPTION:Addiction Solutions of Nantucket needs you to run\, walk\, hop\, skip\, or jog in support of our annual\n\nRun Walk for Recovery fundraiser on September 24th\, 2023.  Our mission has never been more critical for our community\, and every dollar we raise will go directly to change lives of those suffering from addiction on island  We hope you will join us in walking for this urgent need.  \n\n\n\nBring family\, friends\, and everyone you know to run or walk on a September morning for this important cause.\n\n  \n\nAddiction Solutions is a Medication Assisted Treatment Program that serves patients with opioid\, drug\, and alcohol dependencies. Dr. Timothy Lepore and Aline Wommack RNMS donate their professional expertise and their personal time to providing the medical care in this Program\, which is the only medically managed approach to addiction on Nantucket. \n\n \n\nEven though Dr. Lepore and Ms. Womack donate their time and expertise\, there are other costs of treatment under this Program that including medicine\, overhead and operations.  Those costs have been funded since 2015 by Dr. Lepore and the Addiction Solutions Board of Directors\, as well as money from grants and fundraising.  But demand for the Program increases every year because we do not turn anyone away\, regardless of health insurance.  Some days\, we treat up to 19 patients.
