2nd Annual Nature Story Slam

The Linda Loring Nature Foundation (LLNF) and the Nantucket Atheneum invite you to share your story during our Nantucket Nature Story Slam. This year's theme is Nantucket Now and Then: Stories of a Changing Natural Environment. We welcome tales about how nature, the environment, and the state of science has changed over time on Nantucket. The slam is a spoken word competition where participants share short stories (5 minutes or less) that are judged on content, delivery, and connection to the theme. Participants are required to sign up at the beginning of the night. Speakers must be 14 or older to participate, but the event is free and open for all to attend as audience. Prizes will be awarded for the best stories. Light refreshments provided. Free admission.
