Bookkeeping 1: Quickbooks & Accounting for Small Business Professionals
Bookkeeping 1 prepares novice bookkeepers and uncertified professionals for the next level of professional success, whether that is growth in a current position or for starting an independent practice. In this comprehensive 12-week class, students will prepare for both a QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification as well a Bookkeeper Certification Exam, offered through the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.
Beyond the professional credentials, students will learn basic financial account principles and QuickBooks using real-world examples. QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop will both be presented. Students should anticipate an additional 1 ½-3 hours of work outside of class depending on their level of familiarity with various concepts and general accounting. This class will require access to a home computer or laptop with internet and Excel or Google Sheets (free).
