Foghorn Speaker Series: Diving the Andrea Doria with Atlantic Wreck Salvage
Located off the coast of Nantucket, the Andrea Doria is often called the “Mount Everest of Scuba Diving” — one of the most dangerous and challenging technical dive sites in the world. Join us for a thought-provoking presentation on the wreck today with Jennifer Sellitti and Mike Dudas of Atlantic Wreck Salvage. Learn from Jennifer Sellitti about the history of the Andrea Doria and what it takes to captain the expedition vessel D/V Tenacious and hear Mike Dudas’ firsthand account of diving to the wreck site and artifact recovery.
Atlantic Wreck Salvage, led by Jennifer Sellitti and founded by her late partner Joe Mazraani, is a New Jersey-based company conducting operations in the North Atlantic. AWS is dedicated to shipwreck exploration, maritime salvage, historical preservation, and maritime education.
