FREE Nature Ramble
Join Dr. Sarah Bois, Director of Research and Education, for a guided tour of LLNF property with a special focus on documenting the biodiversity of the LLNF property. Sarah will go over the use of iNaturalist to help identify and record what we see around the property. This walk is held in collaboration with the Nantucket Land and Water Council and is part of the annual Nantucket BioBlitz event. Walking over our gently rolling trails, we’ll explore sandplain grasslands and coastal heathland habitats, and enjoy views of Long Pond and Nantucket Sound as we traverse a portion of the Linda Loring Nature Foundation's Eel Point Road property. We'll see what’s blooming, budding, flying, and crawling around the trails. Bring your questions - discussion is encouraged! It's a great chance to learn more about the research, restoration, and stewardship activities around the property and ask your Nantucket nature questions. Rambles are free to attend and open to all!
