Grow Native for Nantucket – Landscaper's Workshop on Native Meadows

Join us at Bartlett's Farm hayloft at 9 AM for an engaging session focused on naturalized designs, low-impact landscape techniques, and the effective use of native plants.
Kathy Connolly brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, having delivered over 30 talks and workshops annually for various organizations, including conservation groups, garden clubs, and land trusts. With a master’s degree in ecological landscape planning and design from the Conway School, she is also an Accredited Organic Land Care Professional and has received numerous awards for her outstanding work in the field.
This workshop is designed specifically for professionals in the landscaping industry who wish to deepen their understanding of sustainable practices.
Kathy will cover essential topics such as site selection, native plant choices, and techniques for encouraging pollinators, providing attendees with practical strategies to enhance their projects and promote ecological health in their designs. Kathy's passion for landscape ecology is evident in her extensive writing, with over 150 published articles on landscapes, plants, and land care in Connecticut publications. Her design work has been recognized by various organizations, highlighting her commitment to promoting ecological health in our communities.
