Nantucket Garden Festival: New Tools and Techniques for the New Small Farm with Eliot Coleman

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn in the garden alongside Eliot Coleman – the nation’s leading voice of the organic farming movement for over five decades! In this interactive demonstration, participants will learn about the time-saving tools Eliot designed for Johnny’s Selected Seeds and have a chance to try them. Eliot will demonstrate his famous soil blocking technique and discuss how and why this method of planting has been so successful. He will share his strategies for planning the growing season and offer invaluable insight on season-extending techniques. The workshop will end with a tool auction, giving participants an opportunity to leave with an autographed tool from Eliot’s signature collection.
