Save the Night Fundraiser: Cisco Brewers Non-Profit Tuesday
Cisco Brewers “Non-Profit Tuesday” on September 24 will benefit Nantucket Lights, the all-volunteer, citizen advocacy group dedicated to reducing light pollution on Nantucket.
For the occasion, the brewery has booked Tommy Maia, known for his high energy and smooth vocals. This rapid-fire vocalist goes from Nat King Cole to NeYo with touches of Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson along the way, singing hits from today’s Top 40 to jazz to classic rock and pop.
A portion of drink sales between 4pm and 7pm — when Maia will be playing — will be donated to Nantucket Lights to use for its educational and charitable initiatives, all undertaken with the goal of preserving Nantucket’s starry nights; reducing light trespass, unsafe glare, and energy waste; and protecting the wildlife that needs a natural dark night to thrive.
There will also be a raffle featuring prizes donated by Cisco Brewers, the Maria Mitchell Association, and other Nantucket organizations and businesses. If your business or organization would like to support Nantucket Lights by donating an item for the raffle, please send an email to nantucketlights@gmail.com.
Thanks to a donation, Nantucket Lights will also be offering FREE dark-sky and neighbor friendly LED light bulbs while supplies last!
