The Heirloom Meals Recipe Project: Celebrating Memorable Family Meals
Nantucket summers are fun-filled with friends and family,
and memories that last a lifetime.
Many of these memories happen around the table. What are your go-to summer recipes? Or the one that family and friends crave and request each summer? Is it chowder? Grilled lobster? Potato salad? Blueberry pie? Beach Plum jelly? Or perhaps an entire meal? Or clam bake on the beach?
In this three-hour writing and scrapbooking class, Carole Murko, NPR and PBS host and Edible Legacy Coach, will guide you using writing prompts to share how these foods made you feel and the memories they conjure up.
Think of this as a scrapbooking-style project where you will write together and then create a storyboard that you can share with friends and family.
Come prepared with a recipe(s), family photos and any memorabilia and you will create a beautiful storyboard.
Carole will have a portable scanner so at the end, you can scan your storyboards and build a digital collection of all the participants.
