Each year, people across the globe celebrate World Migratory Bird Day to highlight the need for the conservation of migratory birds and their habitats. Migratory birds face unique threats and hold great ecological importance, and international cooperation is essential to conserve these species. Here on Nantucket, conservation and education nonprofits are collaborating on a day-long celebration with birding walks across the island. You can join us for one, some, or all to experience the variety of habitats and species with guides from Nantucket’s conservation organizations. No experience necessary! Binoculars will be provided. All walks are free and open to all, but registration is required for each walk that you plan to attend.
