This class will give you the know-how and confidence to boldly grab that expensive specialty cut of meat, that we so often pass by not wanting to do it an injustice.
THE MENU
GRILLED TOMAHAWK STEAK
Chef Colin of The Private Plate will be introducing you to 3 different types of tomahawk steaks (choice, prime & wagyu).
- Learn the importance of properly temping your meat.
- Learn how to season: Salt is your friend!
- Talk about the utter importance of letting that steak rest before slicing.
- Learn how to properly slice the meat. This is one time you definitely want to go against the grain.
FONDANT POTATOES
(OR POMMES DE TERRE FONDANTES IF YOU'RE FANCY)
Chef Colin will teach you how to elevate the humble potato, taking a pantry staple to the next culinary level.
- Learn how to evenly cut your potatoes for consistent cooking.
- Learn how to properly sear the potatoes. You have to wait for the release!
